A controversy has emerged after Chiefs Chikwanda and Nyakuchena were reportedly seen accompanying Minister Daniel Garwe as part of his security detail, prompting constitutional and governance concerns from legal experts.

Bulawayo – Deputy president of the Chiefs Council of Zimbabwe, Fortune Charumbira, has moved to correct what he described as misleading reports surrounding the death of Manicaland provincial chiefs’ assembly chair and Senator, Chief Mapungwana (born Ananias Mapungwana). Chief Mapungwana died on Monday at a private hospital in Bulawayo after a brief illness.
