TSHOLOTSHO – A 36-year-old man from Dugwi Line, Chefunye in Tsholotsho, Matabeleland North Province, has been sentenced after pleading guilty to a charge of bestiality involving a female goat. Leonard Moyo appeared before the Tsholotsho Magistrates' Court, where he admitted to the offence.

BULAWAYO – A 32-year-old Bulawayo woman has been sentenced to 315 hours of community service after she scalded her husband with hot cooking oil during a domestic dispute. Edina Nyenda, of Luveve suburb, was convicted of physical abuse by Western Commonage Magistrate Jeconia Prince Ncube after she poured boiling cooking oil on her husband following an argument.

SHURUGWI — A 38-year-old Shurugwi man has been ordered to perform 140 hours of community service after a violent confrontation with a teacher at Gato Secondary School over the removal of an old school sign. The accused, Reason Magedi, appeared before Shurugwi Magistrate Sithabile Zungula this week. Magedi pleaded guilty to the charge of assault, leading to a conviction that highlights the growing concern over the safety of educators in rural school settings.
