Government ministries, departments and agencies spent ZiG123.6 billion during the first half of 2026, with most institutions utilising less than half of their approved annual budgets, Finance Minister Mthuli Ncube has revealed.

Most of Zimbabwe's local authorities failed to receive devolution funding in 2025, raising concerns over stalled infrastructure projects, weakened service delivery and planning uncertainty.
