HARARE — Retired Interpol ambassador and security strategist Andy Mashaile has called for coordinated regional law‑enforcement action following the issuance of an arrest warrant by South Africa’s Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (the Hawks) for high‑profile Zimbabwean socialite Joachim Chivayo (also known as G6).

Joachim “G6” Chivayo, a Zimbabwean social media personality known for flaunting a lavish lifestyle online, has been declared wanted by South Africa’s elite crime-fighting unit, the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation, commonly known as the Hawks, after failing to appear in court in connection with a R15 million gold case.

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has moved to dismiss a viral social media post falsely claiming that businessman Joachim Chivayo is wanted by authorities in South Africa, warning that those behind the misinformation could face legal consequences.
