HARARE – The Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) has intensified a nationwide compliance operation targeting fuel service stations accused of charging motorists above approved fuel prices, following a recent reduction in pump prices. The regulator has deployed enhanced inspection teams across the country to monitor compliance and ensure fuel retailers adhere to officially gazetted prices.

Motorists and businesses have received some relief after ZERA reduced fuel prices. Diesel now costs US$1.99 per litre while petrol has fallen to US$1.98, marking the first time in months that both fuels are selling below US$2 per litre.

HARARE – The Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) has announced the maximum retail price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) for June 2026, setting the price at US$1.96 per kilogramme and ZWG52.60 per kilogramme in local currency. The monthly pricing update was issued in line with Zimbabwe's petroleum pricing regulations and forms part of ZERA’s efforts to promote transparency, consumer protection, and regulatory compliance within the energy sector.
