Four suspects have been arrested at the Beitbridge Border Post for allegedly possessing large quantities of unregistered medicines, the Zimbabwe Republic Police has confirmed. Police said the arrests were made on Thursday, 12 March, during separate operations carried out in Beitbridge.

A one-year-old toddler has died after being run over by a neighbour’s vehicle in the Hobhouse suburb of Mutare in a tragic accident that has left the community in shock. The child, Munashe Maveneka, aged one year and four months, was reportedly struck by a car on March 2 while playing outside her home.

A 35-year-old police officer, Bhekimpilo Ncube, has appeared in court facing a murder charge following a fatal incident involving a suspect who died while in his custody. Ncube, who was the officer-in-charge at Chikukwa Police Base, is accused of fatally injuring 34-year-old Godman Mtimba during an altercation. The case is being prosecuted by the National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe (NPA), which outlined the events that allegedly led to the suspect’s death.

BEATRICE – Police have arrested two men in connection with a series of armed robberies that occurred in Beatrice earlier this month, while a third suspect remains on the run. The Zimbabwe Republic Police confirmed the arrest of Conrad Moyo (22) and Milford Sidhakwa (24) following a police operation along the Harare–Masvingo highway. According to police, the suspects are believed to have carried out several robberies between March 5 and March 6, 2026, allegedly using torches,

HARARE — The National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe (NPAZ) has rejected an application to recuse its Chief Director of Prosecutions, Ms Tendayi Shonhayi, from participating in the prosecution of televangelist Walter Magaya in his high-profile rape trial.

Harare – A 42-year-old pastor affiliated with Christ Embassy has appeared before a Harare magistrate facing allegations of defrauding a workmate of US$7 200 in a botched vehicle import deal. Kudakwashe Singizi was arraigned on fraud charges. The complainant in the matter is Mukanhairi Ropafadzo. Although the two are not related, the court heard that they were operating from the same shop at the time the alleged offence occurred.
