Zimbabwean music fans are bracing for a high-octane weekend as global music heavyweights Rick Ross and Omah Lay are expected to arrive in the country on Friday ahead of the highly anticipated Hustle and Heritage concert.
The international stars will headline a powerful line-up that blends global and home-grown talent at Rainbow Towers, sharing the stage with some of Zimbabwe’s most celebrated artists, including Freeman HKD, EXQ, Takura, Ashl, Tamy Moyo, and Saintfloew, among others.
The return of Rick Ross and Omah Lay, both of whom have previously performed in Zimbabwe to sold-out crowds, has elevated the show from a local concert into a full-scale international music spectacle. Their presence has sparked excitement across social media, with fans, media personalities, and industry insiders hailing the event as one of the biggest live music moments of the year.
Speaking to Zimpapers Entertainment Hub, event organiser Dru Edmund Kucherera said preparations were at an advanced stage, with production teams completing stage construction, testing sound and lighting systems, and finalising security and logistics.
“Having Rick Ross and Omah Lay back in Zimbabwe is monumental. Their arrival signals that Hustle and Heritage is more than a concert it’s a cultural moment,” Kucherera said.
He added that the strong local line-up ensures Zimbabwean artists are showcased alongside global stars, offering audiences a rich mix of Afro-fusion, hip-hop, dancehall, R&B, and Afrobeat.
Fans have already begun travelling to Harare from across the country, eager to secure prime viewing spots and soak in the atmosphere.
“We’ve been waiting for an event like this,” said local music enthusiast Tinashe Chibanda. “It’s not just the music it’s the vibe, the culture, the whole experience.”
With the countdown to Saturday underway, anticipation continues to build. From buzzing social media timelines to packed hotels and rehearsal venues, all signs point to Hustle and Heritage shaping up as one of Zimbabwe’s most memorable music events in recent years.
