A nurse at Nyamazira Clinic in Makoni North has admitted slapping a woman who was nine months pregnant but denies allegations that he kicked her in the abdomen during an altercation over buckets at the clinic.

MUTOKO – A Bolt Cutter Bus Service conductor has been sentenced to an effective seven months in prison after pleading guilty to assaulting a passenger who demanded a refund after discovering the bus was overcrowded. Ranjisi Andrew Manyati (45), of Mutoko, appeared before Mutoko Magistrate Panashe Matongo facing charges of assault and theft arising from the incident, which occurred at Domborembudzi Business Centre in Murehwa last week.

HARARE — Police have arrested a man from Dzivarasekwa Extension in Harare in connection with allegations of rape, kidnapping, assault, and arson following a violent attack on a neighbouring couple. The suspect, identified by police as Godwilson Manake, allegedly attacked the couple at their home during the early hours of Wednesday morning before abducting the woman, whose whereabouts remain unknown.

A 27-year-old man is recovering in hospital after allegedly being stabbed during a drinking session in Matibi when a childhood dispute resurfaced. Police are searching for the suspect who fled the scene.
