MUTARE – Concerns over transparency and accountability in the disposal of municipal assets have surfaced within Mutare City Council, with councillors accusing management of disregarding recommendations made by elected officials during auction processes. The concerns were raised during a recent full council meeting where councillors questioned the procedures governing the sale of vehicles, equipment, and other council assets declared surplus to operational requirements.

CHITUNGWIZA – Residents of Chitungwiza have been handed a financial lifeline following the Municipality's decision to extend its 30% rates discount promotion. Originally set to expire last month, the window for reduced payments will now remain open until April 30, 2026, according to a public notice issued on Thursday.
