Zimbabwe has approved a nationwide task force to tackle illegal and unregulated mining following findings of environmental damage, infrastructure destruction and social problems in Bindura.

Residents of Buhera have petitioned Parliament over alleged pollution from the Sabi Star Lithium Mine, claiming contaminated water, dust-related illnesses among schoolchildren and livestock deaths.
