ZRP Warns Activist Over Alleged Fake Police Statement on Planned Protest
HARARE — The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has issued a warning to social media activist Majaira Jairos over what it describes as the fabrication and circulation of a fake police statement linked to a planned demonstration on 15 April 2026. In a statement released on Monday, 13 April, ZRP spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi dismissed claims that the police had endorsed what was described as a “peaceful” march.
