Six people were killed and six injured after a commuter omnibus veered off the Harare-Bulawayo Road and plunged into a water-filled gully near Tynwald Flyover.

In a separate incident, police have arrested Everson Masuka (48) in connection with a fatal hit-and-run accident that occurred earlier on the same day in Harare. The crash happened at approximately 5:30 pm along Samora Machel Avenue, near the Showgrounds. Nyathi said Masuka, who was driving a Nissan Hardbody towards Chegutu, allegedly swerved to avoid a collision with a vehicle in front of him.
